I’m still trying to process Cleveland’s amazing comeback in this year’s Finals… but Vegas being Vegas, they’re already looking at the challengers to the throne.
And according to at least one sports book… the Celtics are one of them.
Yes, that’s right.. the Celtics, according to The Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook, are a 20-1 shot to win the whole thing next season and SECOND only to the Cavs in the East.
Of course its wicked early for this stuff… we don’t even know which GM Danny Ainge is going to fleece on Thursday night… but it’s really nice to see. I’d drop $50 on a 20-1 shot right now.
Really, when you look at the East, the Celtics are definitely on the upswing and they really could be a couple of moves from overtaking Toronto for second in the East. Atlanta could be torn apart, Miami might lose Bosh, and Chicago could have a fire sale. Yeah, that’s a lot of moving pieces, but it’s all very possible.
So if you guys need me, I’ll be bolting down my lawn chair in front of the Beantown Pub to claim my spot for next year’s parade.
