Celtkicks: Spotted At Media Day

KWAPT (@KWAPT) October 1, 2014 CeltKicks, Red's Army Multimedia 17 Comments

As a sneakerhead, my favorite part of Media Day is going through all the pics to see which kicks each player broke out. Well yesterday didn’t disappoint, as we saw a nice selection of shoes from Celts old and new.

Via IG, we see Brandon Bass in what’s been his go to shoe, the Nike Zoom Soldier and new Celtic Marcus Thornton in the Air Jordan XI low “Nightshade”. I wonder how awkward it was when Thornton & Jeff Green both realized they wore the same kicks. (see below) The rest of yesterday’s pics, including a look at what Rajon’s new signature shoe will look like, are in the gallery below. (Images via HoopChina & Sole Collector)

Who’s the fat guy in the photo with Bass?

My first thought was “Oh is that one of the random guys from the Bogans deal?” Then when they said Thornton…wow. Wasn’t expecting a 2 guard to be wider than Bass…

I’m glad you caught my point. Haha…and that I wasn’t the only one who thought that.

That motherf**ker is getting paid 8 mil to be in worst shape than Sully was last year? If he stays like this we might not be able to use him as a trade chip at the deadline.

And, seriously Pressey? You’re wearing Kobe’s? Get outta here.

They’re green though so it’s kind of an insult to Kobe and his Lakers ;) Plus Rondo wore a some Kobe’s back in the 2011 playoffs as well as Pietrus in the 2012 playoffs.

I really like the Boston jerseys. Thornton looks like a chipmunk.

Am I the only one that just now realized our two 1st draft rookies names personify what we are trying to accomplish this season? Young and Smart!
