Warriors deny Thompson rumor which now includes Crowder

SB Nation’s Mike Prada has a bit more:

The proposed deal would involve the 76ers and send Jae Crowder, Avery Bradley and the Nets’ 2017 first-round pick to Golden State, with Thompson going to Boston. The Warriors would then move the pick for a young rim protector.

Scalabrine himself didn’t believe what he was hearing.

“That can’t be true. I don’t understand why they would,” Scalabrine said. “But maybe they’re on what I’m on. It’s going to be impossible to win a championship without having rim protection against LeBron [James] and Kyrie [Irving]. So who’s your most valuable asset, or who’s your most unneeded asset at this point? I don’t know, but I heard that rumor going around and it was specifically to a team that wears green.”

It’s a bit confusing how the 76ers (and presumably Nerlens Noel) fit into this scenario.

And… it appears Scal is trying to distance himself from this mess:

Sounds like a really bad idea. Not sure I’d trade Bradley for Thompson straight up. Add Crowder and the pick and it sounds like someone’s fantasy. Not mine.

LOL. This is not the NBA Draft so Ainge will not make such a stupid move. I hope.
