True enough, the Celtics managed to add two players at midlevel exception money ($5 million to start) and keep all but one key free agent, while subtracting Allen and players who weren’t a lock for the rotation.
“I would say that’s a pretty good summer,” Rivers said.

Most Celtics fans are happy with what transpired this off-season. In our latest poll – What grade would you give Danny Ainge for his offseason acquisitions? – 94% gave Ainge an A or B.
Now for the bad news, the tumbleweeds are blowing in. Celtics news is fading away until the team heads for Europe in September/October.

A great draft & summer for Danny. I think he overpayed for Green but you gotta love this roster, a great mix of vets & youth, and certainly more athletic than last year. I would have liked to see Dooling back though, not so much for that wacky shot but I loved his energy coming off the bench. GO C’s!
wacky? Idk what games you watched but the couple of times Dooling played he played well, shooting trey’s, good defense. C’mon now! give credit where it is due, rather than that bench talk.
I don’t agree with Ainge resigning Garnett for all of that money because it sucks up all of the Celtics’ cap space for the next three years; however, the drafting of jared Sullinger and Feb Melo along with acquiring Jason Terry, Jeff Green and Courtney Lee certainly makes up for it.
Kris humphries just signed for 12 mil a year. What did you think the going rate for kg was going to be? You mentioned earlier that they could have gotten him for cheaper. Please elaborate.
Signing Green for $36-40 was the only blemish on DA`s summer.

Danny Ainge is a punk and will always be a punk. Throwing a ball in Mario Elle’s face at the end of a losing playoff series? He’s was a sore loser and bush league player. No one in H-Town has respect for him. Punk.
