Chicago Bulls 6/1

Los Angeles Lakers 10/1

San Antonio Spurs 10/1

Dallas Mavericks 14/1

Los Angeles Clippers 18/1

Indiana Pacers 20/1

Boston Celtics 25/1

Memphis Grizzlies 25/1

What a joke. The Celtics – the only team to really push the Heat to the brink in the playoffs – are 25-1?

They sit behind Dallas, Clippers, Pacers and Lakers. Really?

Maybe those odds change once KG announces he’s re-signing.

How are the Lakers 10-1 to win it all? Did Bovada not notice all the infighting going on in that organization? And the Mavericks just got swept in the first round with a healthy roster! We went to Game 7 against the champions with 7 players either out or injured.

How does that even make sense ? More importantly how are the Lakers higher than us ? That makes no sense at all.

No surprise. People don’t like the Celtics. No worries even with just a healthy squad, some solid drafting and some restructuring of the bench we could very easily be playing at this time next year. And there’s no doubt in my mind that Danny Ainge has the potential to put together an offseason this year with all things considered (this year’s run, cap space, picks, trading assets) that might even make us favorites.

The guys who lay these odds aren’t “hating on the C’s” or anything like that, they’re making a estimate on what the C’s have the day the season ends. It’s not personal. The odds will certainly change as the C’s put a roster together, but this would be a good time for any gambling degenerates to lay some money down.

  yeah, that’s probably true. But Dallas still has less than what we have. They haven’t signed Deron Williams yet.

Okay, this may be a dumb question…but how are these odds even figured out? How are team chemistry, brotherhood, etc quantified? I love stats and I think they do tell a lot about a team/player (maybe not the entire picture, but a lot) but I just don’t understand how these bold predictions have odds and ratios, isn’t it more or less just a guess?

It`s far too early to start forecasting next year.

That said, putting the Celtics at the same level as MEM or IND seems well within reason.

free agency, the draft, and w/ever other personnel changes.. obviously a lot can happen between now and next years finals. for the degenerate gambler those are good numbers to roll.

This isn’t really surprising considering that we only have 4 players signed to come back.

I’m sure we’ll go past the Lakers if we start bringing our guys back. Funny how this is always the critical measuring stick with Celtics fans. LOL

I get so sick of people assuming this or that about any team. Just like they said we were too old washed up among other things, then as usual they had to tuck their tails between their legs and eat crow. Like Matt W said I’ll take my chances!!!!!!!

This stupid, how are you going to make these predictions when, draft night has not come yet, trades has not been done yet, free agencie has not been done yet. Nobody even know how the teams are going to look when training camp begins. I guess since the season is over there is not much to talk about.
