10:45pm Update: Switch over to Comcast where Marc Spears tells me not to get my hopes up about Antonio McDyess. The guy likes Detroit and told Spears he won't chase a championship.

I've got one eye on the NBA draft and another on the news coverage surround Michael Jackson's death.
Blake Griffin was drafted by the Clippers which means if he's any good, there will be some type of sign-and-trade in 4 years.
UConn's Hasheem Thebeet went to Memphis with the 2nd pick. The T-Wolves drafted two point guards (Rubio and Flynn) back-to-back at 5 and 6. Gotta be a trade in the works.
The son of former Celtics guard Gerald Henderson went to the Bobcats at #12. Larry Bird grabbed Tyler Hansbrough at #13 (a bit of a reach?).

Did anyone hear Cedric Maxwell on the Big Show today? According to Gary Tanguay, Maxwell said that Rondo told him he'd be happy with a 5-year, $50 million deal. I'm sure the Celtics would sign Rondo at that number.
